The free checker in plain terms: what it is, what it isn't, and how to use it fairly.
The website checker is a free, informational tool. It reports what a website publicly shows the world on one visit. It is not a security audit, not a guarantee, and not advice you should act on without confirming it with whoever runs your site. Use it on your own site, or on a site you're responsible for, and don't use it to harass anyone.
What the checker is
The checker loads a homepage the way a browser does, reads the public files every search engine reads, looks up public DNS and registration records, and asks Google's PageSpeed Insights for a measurement. From that it produces a PHP2Shell verdict and a health report. Everything it says is derived from what the site itself publishes. It never logs in, never submits anything, never scans or probes.
No warranty
The results are provided “as is”. A server can report a PHP version that has been patched without changing the version string; a site that builds itself in the browser can look thinner than it is; a check can fail or time out. We make no promise that a result is complete, current or correct, and a “good” result is not a statement that a site is secure. If a result matters to you, confirm it with your host or developer.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Remidiy, LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the checker or reliance on its results, including decisions made or not made because of them. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which for the free checker is nothing.
Acceptable use
- Check sites you own, manage or are responsible for, or have a legitimate reason to look at (a supplier, a prospective host). The results are shown only to you.
- Don't use the checker to repeatedly load, monitor or pressure someone else's site. It is rate-limited and cached, and we may block addresses that abuse it.
- Don't try to make the checker reach private networks or anything other than public websites. It refuses to, and attempts are logged.
- Automated use (scripts, scrapers) is not permitted; the service is for people using the page.
About other people's sites
A result describes what a site's server reported to us at the time of the check. It is not an accusation, and we never publish results about a named site. Our aggregate report contains counts only.
Changes and contact
